Injured Teen in One Car Crash Near Emmetsburg
Mike Triplett eighteen son of Mr and Mrs Jim Triplett was hospitalized at Palo Alto Memorial Hospital Emmetsburg for injuries from a one car accident north of Highway 74 between Roger Howland place and Jim Cruickshank farm. His right arm was severely injured and he lost blood. the car a 1955 Plymouth was demolished. The accident near midnight Tuesday involved the vehicle overturning and landing in a ditch. Triplett crawled to Howlands for help, Vernon Marine aided with a tourniquet, and Jerry Turner and the highway patrol handled emergency and investigation.
