R. HLS Arrowlet Kindergarten describes a caterpillar found on a walk and kept in the room. Students Jean Suzanne Cletus Tommy and Dick contributed pictures for a story book about the walk and Jean’s cat Blackie placed on the reading table.

Prentice Shaw, involved in a Des Moines street crash last Wednesday, tried to avoid shrubbery and hidden children. An 8 year old boy died after the collision. Shaw was jailed overnight and released on a $1000 bond awaiting a October 8 preliminary hearing. Neighbors support the crash as unavoidable.
