A health screening clinic for persons sixty years and older who have not had a full physical in the past year will be held at the Plover Methodist Church on Tuesday May 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Appointments via Pocahontas County Social Services 335 3565.
Wm. Johnson of Rolfe an Independent agent receives Time Insurance Company Merit Award for 1977. Company states 488 of 4100 independents qualified. award honors service to clients product knowledge and sales activity. Time Insurance, founded 1892, operates in 45 states and D.C.
Poppy Day is designated for Saturday May 21 in Rolfe. The event will honor war dead with Red Memorial Poppies worn for remembrance. Legion Auxiliary chairmen Mrs. Howard Sandy and Mrs. H. Hughes lead sale efforts with other members and Girl Scouts assisting in house to house distribution.
