St Paul's Ladies Aid and Rosary Society hosted a luncheon with members including Mrs. Charles, Mr. LeRoy Jorgenson, and Mrs. Reising in attendance. Decorations featured tat designs and a craft display followed by a short program and tribute to a guest speaker.
Anna Banscher arrived at Pocahontas Community Hospital after a fall near the Methodist Church Tuesday forenoon. Mrs. B D Higgins is an observation patient at Hurnbech Memorial Hospital.
The Pocahontas hospital dismissed Adve Grant on Monday. Kathy CrakSsharak remains a patient there. Mx Em Hulse returned home Friday from a Rochester Minnesota hospital.
The American Legion Auxiliary will host a potluck supper at the Legion on Monday May 14 with hot dish rolls and coffee. The Senior Citizens Club meets at the center on Saturday afternoon May 12. The American Home Study Club convenes at Fern Pease’s home by 11 o clock on Friday May 18.
The VFW Auxiliary will meet Wednesday May 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the Legion Hall. A bridal shower for Debra Pingel, bride-to-be of Doug Post, will be Sunday May 20 at 2:00 p.m. at St Pauls Lutheran Church. American Legion Auxiliary meets Monday May 14 in Palmer Legion Hall at 2:00 p.m. A county Memorial Service is planned and Manor held Sunday worship led by Rev Bintz with Rosemary Pease on piano. National Nursing Home Week May 13-20 includes daily activities and an Open House Friday May 18 from 2-4 p.m. Out-of-town visitors included Mr and Mrs Jim LaValle and family Gilmore City Rita Wessels Palmer. Thank you note expresses gratitude for cards letters flowers and kindness during illness and thanks Pastor Olson for visits.
