Henry Lott in Marion County and Spirit Lake links
The account traces Henry Lott from Marion County to Boone and Webster counties, mixing tales of border violence, whisky trading with Indians, and attacks on Sioux camps. It notes feigned accounts of family killings, Lott’s killings of Si-dom-i-na-do-tah and kin, an inquest naming Lott and his stepson as guilty, and hints at connections to the Spirit Lake Massacre.
