The 1:30 p m session at Pocahontas courthouse will cover electric wiring for the farm and home with film slides. Laurens school at 7:30 p m will host a second presentation. County Agent Schmuecker urges Pocahontas county farmers along the proposed highline route to join the REA cooperative now. Joining grants eligibility for REA loans covering wiring costs and patronage dividends, while limiting personal liability to a monthly electrical fee. A $95,000 construction loan has been granted, with further loans planned for July 1.

Sinning to Sing on WGN With Dubuque Choir Tour

In a three day district girls basketball tournament at Plover the Fonda team defeated Kamvar and Paton to secure a Des Moines state bid. Kamvar beat Paton 52 31 and Fonda beat Paton 48 25 before a final 44 34 Fonda victory over Kamvar. Co captains accepted the trophy from referee Mr. Bootman.
