Marion Librarian Reflects on Rolfe Public Library Bicentennial
A retrospective on Rolfe’s library history traces early efforts by a 97 member Woman's Club led by Juanita Nelson to promote a community library. It recalls a 1928 book list, coupon sales, and a 1928 campaign raising 187.70 in cash for books, with the library opening in April 1928 and 499 volumes catalogued.
