The Havelock American Legion Auxiliary hosted a county meeting at the Methodist church on Friday afternoon June 18 with 50 in attendance. Delegations from Rolfe Laurens Palmer Gilmore City Pocahontas attended except Plover Fonda and Varina. Mary Waters opened the meeting and Dorothy Gibson of Gilmore City led as county chair. Officers elected include Bessie Neiman Pocahontas as county chairman Ella Fagan Laurens as vice chairman June Bartosh Pocahontas as secretary and Dorothy Gibson Gilmore City as treasurer. The Havelock unit presented piano solo reading accordion duets and another reading followed by a lunch prepared by Havelock hostesses.
Havelock Ware M E Church announces Sunday schedule with morning worship at 11 and Sunday school at 10. Epworth league gathers 7 p.m. and a June 27 service will honor six month attendance with pins for Alma Dunn Myrl Waters Glenn Johnson Floyd Dunn and Lloyd Dunn. Proceeds from bake sale support the Okoboji camp delegate fund July 5 to 12. Ware V B S and Bible school planning continue as the community participates. Ware Ladies Aid met recently.
