Warrant Issued for Albert City Man Bass
A warrant is issued for Bill Bass, 28, of Albert City for obtaining goods under false pretenses. The alleged acts span December 24, 1976, to April 1, 1977. Bond set at 10,000. he faces arraignment before Magistrate Tate on Friday, June 24. Bass is held in Buena Vista County jail on similar charges.

Rolfe Chamber Sets Plans For Greater Rolfe Days

New business includes a July Fourth plan, fireworks funding, and pursuing Dr. Al Harvey’s relocation to Rolfe. Meeting adjourned after scheduling a Friday board session.

The Rolfe City Council adopted a resolution amending the fiscal year 1976 77 budget at the June 15 session. The body granted cigarette permits to Sunybrook Restaurant Jerry's Super Valu The Stadium Club Dick's 66 Pete's Standard Service Taylor Oil Co Mary's Tavern and House of Nations. A building permit was approved for the Rolfe Community School athletic field project using a donated structure. The council also considered a Capital Improvement Fund inquiry and authorized 12 new water meters.
