Jim Williams returned Friday from a visit with relatives in Des Moines.

Woman's Club Year Ends With Elections At Country Home
The Woman's Club met at Mrs. Will Nowack's country home for the last session of the season. Officers elected to serve next year include President Mrs. Geo. Speer and Vice Presidents Mrs. Harold Crowell and Mrs. Will Fowler. Secretary Mrs. Will Boysen and Treasurer Mrs. Geo. Plantz. Custodian Mrs. Martin Larson. A luncheon was served by Mrs. Nowack and Mrs. Will Smith after the business.

Mrs Crawford a Rolfe high school graduate and former rural school teacher. Frank son of Mrs Mollie Crawford, lifelong Plover and Have lock resident, now working at Gibson oil station. Newlyweds reside above the post office with friends to visit. Best wishes for a long happy life.

M. L. Chase Dies After Heart Illness at 85
M L Chase died at the home of his daughter Mrs Joe Edge on Sunday June 8 1936 after a period of heart trouble. Survived by sister Mrs Will Goodchild of this place and several children including Mrs Joe Edge Clarence Earl Marquis Chas and Mrs Gerald Beman plus many grandchildren. Short services were held at the Edge home Tuesday afternoon and the funeral took place at Fonda with burial there.
