Local Graduates Attend UNI Exercises and Alumni events
The couple attended graduation at UNI Cedar Falls where their son Bruce earned an M A in education. They stayed with Bruce Fisher then visited Troy for an alumni banquet. Sunday dinners included the Vaughns and guests from Evanston and Friendship Haven. Verne Perrin visited Des Moines family and attended the wedding of Mary Ann Coon and Roger Carlson at Jefferson.

Cadette Girl Scouts hosted a Box Social on May 27 at the new day camp site east of Rolfe with seven eighth graders receiving Girl Scout charms. A Mother Daughter Banquet followed at St Margaret's parish hall on May 25 with about 90 attendees and a speakers list including Mary and Lillian Vit of Fort Dodge who discussed travels in Czechoslovakia and experiences during the Russian invasion.
