Havelock Happenings Brighten Weekend Visits and Memorial Day Observances
Local social notes detail weekend visits from residents and relatives to Havelock including Sinek, Spence, McCarville, Anderson, Merty, Garver, Barth families, Wilson, Lambertson, and many others. Memorial Day ceremonies led by the American Legion featured a cemetery salute. Community members traveled to Rolfe, Pocahontas, Laurens, and Manson and attended dances, visits, and local gatherings. Several houses and farms reported travel, silos under construction, and shoppers in Rolfe, with recollections of local graduates returning for summer.
