A chimney blaze at the Mrs. B. F. Markin residence northeast of town trapped occupants as cinders fell during a kitchen scrub. Firemen saved the lower story and much of the upper, with a chemical engine and water hauled in, while neighbors helped bucket brigades. Mrs. Ed Carr and her husband, recently arrived, rented nearby.

Eagle Grove Choir Delivers Cross and Crown Cantata
The Lutheran choir from Eagle Grove visited Rolfe last Sunday and performed the cantata Cross and Crown at the Norwegian Lutheran church to a full, appreciative audience. Twenty three members with splendid soloists conducted by P. B. Hovland presented a well trained volunteer choir in a varied program of choruses and solos, praised for musical ability and earnest effort.

Peterson to Build New Cash Market
H. F. Peterson plans a new cash meat market and has hired W. H. Shulte of Carroll to erect it. The old building is moved to George Taylor then to W. A.
