School Burned in Fire Festival Under Local Fire Officials
The old St. John's School building burned Sunday afternoon under the direction of Ron VanHorn, state fire inspector, with Sherman Silbaugh and Humboldt fire department. Participating units included Bradgate, Bede, Clare, Livermore, Humboldt, Thor, Renwick, LaVerne, Rutland, and Gilmore City fire crews. The brick structure was set around noon and burned extensively.
