Miss Kathleen Rebhuhn and Dennis Eberle exchanged marriage vows at St Margaret's Catholic Church on Saturday June 12 1971 at 2 pm in a double ring ceremony. Rev Father Jerome Coyle officiated with music by relatives and attendants in apricot and yellow gowns. The bride daughter of Mr and Mrs August Rebhuhn Spencer and the groom son of Mr and Mrs Wilfred Eberle Plover. The couple coordinated with floral decor and family bridal party led by maid of honor Dianne Rebhuhn.

Pocahontas County Fair Dates Highlight Queen Contest
The 1971 Pocahontas County 4-H Fair runs July 19 to July 22 at Pocahontas Fairgrounds with a county queen contest on July 21 in the 4-H Pavilion. Entries due July 10 to the Extension Office. contestants must be 16 to 21, unmarried, a Pocahontas County resident, and active in a community group. The winner is judged on talent, beauty, poise, and overall appearance.

Still Time To Enter Rolfe Golf Tourney

Word has been received of the death of Emil Skartwed age 70 of El Cerrito California. Funeral services and burial were held in California. Mr Skartwed was a resident of Rolfe for several years before moving to California.

Co-op Camp Attendee Gary Allen Honored at 25th Leadership Camp
Gary Allen son of Mr and Mrs Leslie Allen Rolfe attended the twenty fifth annual Co op Youth Leadership Camp at William Jewell College Liberty Missouri joining about six hundred rural youths across four sessions. He was sponsored by the Farmers Coop of the local area.

John Pollock 65 died at his home in Plover after long illness. Services were held at United Methodist Church Plover with Masonic rites and burial at Clinton-Garfield Cemetery Rolfe. He taught Kellerton then practiced law in Plover 1939, married Velma Wehmer in 1939 Nashua Little Brown Church. Surviving widow a foster son and his mother.

A 2 ball foursome will be held at the local Golf Course on Monday July 5 with tee off at 4 00 p m. The event charges 1 00 per couple and prizes will be awarded. A potluck supper follows golf.
Fire Destroys Motorcycle and Lawn Tractor on Rolfe Farm
Firefighters from Rolfe battled a blaze at the Ronald Gard Dewine farm about noon Monday. A 65cc Harley Davidson motorcycle and a nearby John Deere riding mower were destroyed, with only the mower covered by insurance. The Rolfe Post Office marks Postal Service Day with an Open House today from 2 to 4 p.m., coffee served, hosted by Postmaster D. J. Spencer.
