Ten years ago in January 1966 Sohn Prehinhi returned to Me eranys on a 20 day leave from Holloman Air Force Base. Gwendolyn Lehnus and Marilyn Shabacker spent Christmas break vacationing with relatives at the Morgan home where John Morgan, the actor and singer, met the visiting couple during services at the Hollywood Presbyterian Church.

On a January weekend in 1936 Dean Gunderson trapped five muskrats along Lizard Creek southwest of Rolfe. The harvest was reported to be part of a local family event at the Heathman home where Stella, Chalk, Gyla and Shriner attended before a trip to Humboldt and Fort City.

A string of family and friend visits spans several towns as DeLane Larsen returns from Fort Leonard Wood on December 22. Leroy and Mrs Larsen transport him home. others host or travel from Wheatland North Dakota to Humboldt Swea City Guthrie with relatives including the Madsens and Hackers visiting and hosting for the week.
Fort Leon and Dakota City families hosted Christmas and New Year gatherings. Guests included Mr and Mrs George Ham Ames and Barbara, Mr Myron McFarlin Mason, Mr and Mrs Gaylen Larsen, and the Benjamin and Hacker families, with multiple dinners and visits reported through December 26 to New Year weekend.
