Mrs Nellie Greene Dies After Long Illness in Havelock

Mrs Nellie Greene died at her home in Havelock on January 31 1985 after a long illness. She lived in Havelock for fifty years and is survived by two children Grace Brenton of Omaha and Gilford Greene of Osage as well as siblings and relatives. Funeral services were held at the home with Rev C J Day officiating and burial in Washington Cemetery attended by family from Osage Sioux Rapids Hawarden Laurens Pocahontas and other communities.

The Northwest vision of the Methodist Ladies Society held a Church Night last week featuring songs and dialogue by 10 members. Rev. C L Day led the program with an accompanist and a "Negro Quilting Bee" act followed by "Battle Hymn of the Republic." A social hour and a luncheon by Mrs. Aurcher Mrs. Remus Glassen and KF Muller closed the event.
