Santa letter moves station to start Daryl Fund
A 12 year old Aberdeen boy Daryl Salhus asked Santa for a wooden or artificial leg after an accident. WNAX radio responded by creating the Daryl Fund collecting donations from 96 counties and surpassing 1273 dollars before Christmas to cover hospital bills and support his family.

Two Wolves Trapped by Yale Men Weigh 75 Pounds
In Iowa, Johnny Taylor and Warren Kunce from Yale trapped two wolves. the larger weighed 45 pounds and the other 30 pounds. Raymond Boedeger of Tipton sustained cuts below the eye when a duck smashed through a car windshield, needing stitches. Mrs. Hilda Ness of Soldier broke her arm in a freak accident after getting it caught in a drawer. Milton Hart of near Essex died after an 85 foot fall while tightening bolts on a water tower.
