Garfield Boys 4-H Club Meets and Plans Jan Gathering
The Garfield Boys 4-H Club met at leader LeRoy Nelson's home with 15 members present. They approved minutes, reviewed conservation of wildlife, elected officers for the year, and planned the county party with readings by Leo Shelgren and Richard Hosier and solos by Russell Young and Donald Shimon. Lunch was served by Mrs. Nelson and her mother. The next meeting is set for Jan 6 at Donall Grant’s home. Relics from the Battle of Scarborough 1779 sold for under 200 pounds in London, including Pearson’s sword and a large pistol. Probate notice in Pocahontas County for the will of Mike Shimon, filed Jan 14, 1936, with hearing at 2 p.m. at the Pocahontas District Court.
