Making Contentment on the Farm through Household Ads
An old farming paper notes that over ninety percent of farm wives surveyed are content with their lot thanks to household appliances. It credits advertising with bringing washing machines, irons, dishwashers, vacuums, running water and other aids that speed chores, improve homes, and boost life on the farm. The Arrow ads illustrate these conveniences and urge readers to notice them.
