Harry L. Lund, chairman of the county AAA committee, says the first 2000 bushel capacity steel bins for storing government held shelled corn will arrive soon. The bins are part of 25,500 purchased to hold corn at county points under the ever normal granary plan. Farmers are urged to hold title to their corn by renewing loans and storing on farm or in elevators to profit from potential price rises, with a 7 cent per bushel storage allowance for an 12 month extension.

Charles Pattee Dead at 78 in Pocahontas County
Charles Pattee age 78, longtime Pocahontas County resident and former deputy sheriff, served on the Board of Education and Pocahontas town council. He was uncle of the late W. F. Pattee of Rolfe and is survived by daughters Zell of Newark New Jersey and Irma a Spencer teacher. Funeral services were held Monday at the Presbyterian church in Pocahontas with burial there.
