City Park Planting Leads Spring Greenspace Drive

Three Vehicle Crashes Investigated In Pocahontas County
The Pocahontas County Sheriff's office investigated three accidents last week. A cow owned by LeRoy Arends was killed when struck by Fred W. Olson in Laurens, damages to Olson’s 1964 Buick estimated at 450 dollars. A second crash involved two cars side swiping while passing a truck on Highway 3 east of Pocahontas leaving John Meredith’s 1963 Studebaker about 100 dollars and Gladys Lewis’s 1956 Buick about 75 dollars in damages. The third crash on 3rd Ave NW involved a 1948 Plymouth driven by Ross Moon Jr failing to yield to Larry Hilton, with total damages about 175 dollars.
