The Bradgate Progress club gathered Thursday afternoon with 24 members present. Mrs. Ef. M. Zeman led the meeting and committees for the Mother's Day program and menu were named. Guest speaker will be Mrs. Ralph Olson of Ellsworth.
Members of the W S C S of the Methodist church held a general meeting at the H V Bartz home in Rolfe with Mrs K E M Zeman assisting. Officers elected include Mrs BE M Zeman president and Mrs Willie Naeve vice president. other posts cover recording secretary treasurer and several secretaries. Community events with guests, renditions, outings, and local visits fill the report alongside births and notable attendances at recent gatherings.
The Avery Two Farm Bureau gathered at the Bradgate school Tuesday evening with Kenneth Payton directing. Jamces Larsen, Clarice Nelson sang, Arsene Benjamin played piano, and Mrs. Troy Day Jed led community singing. County officials spoke on the new reorganization law and club reports were shared. Lunch was served by a host of committees.

LeRoy Chester Cobb seaman recruit USN son of Mr and Mrs Rey M Cobb Rolfe recently completed recruit training at the Naval Training Center San Diego Calif Cobb entered the naval service January 21 1919 at the Naval Recruiting Station Fort Dodge before entering the navy he attended D M T school
In Pocahontas County Iowa probate court Gertie Viola Schonberger is named administratrix of the estate of Linnie C Marehant deceased. Creditors must file claims and debtors pay the administratrix by law within the required period. The appointment was dated April 21 1949.
Practical Trades Institute at 25 University Ave SE Minneapolis offers a nine month course in reverse cycle refrigeration. The fireless furnace uses electricity to extract heat from air water and earth and can cool in summer. Trials show about one third fuel savings. Approved for Veterans. Write for information.
District Court in Pocahontas Iowa issues notice for probate of last will and testament of deceased. Hearing fixed before the District Court or Clerk on a specified Wednesday in May at 2 o clock. All interested persons must appear and show cause why the instrument should not be probated. Clerk Katherine Boozell signs the seal. An unrelated sentence on oysters appears at end.
