The fourth grade practices wand drills for the April PTA meeting and creates Easter border decorations while the sixth grade colors maps and compiles crop production data.
McCalliburg residents attend the funeral of Mrs Sabby in Randall and interment at the family lot there. Lisle Arnold shows daily improvement after pneumonia. Mr Huntrods memorials mark cemetery plots. two children also buried there. Ed Johnson funeral at Zion Lutheran Church with pallbearers including Amos Hanson. Mr and Mrs Tom M Johnson visit Nevada. Johnson falls ill but improves. Carroll Mills recovers from goiter surgery and plans to return home. Dorcas society hosted by L R Bjelda with committees formed and refreshments served. Mrs Mary Peck Goss of Blairstown visits her parents. Mrs Goés and a friend head to Madrid for a weekend visit with former Madrid teachers. Sunshine Mission society hosted at parish house with devotionals and refreshments. John Schauper and John Peck guests.
Roland town council passes Ordinance No 101 repealing Section 3 of Ordinance 60 and enacting a new clerk salary of 240 dollars per year payable quarterly. Effective April 1 1980 with passage publication requirements. Mayor M O Rod attested by Town Clerk Jeffrey Michaelson.

In Story County District Court a petition by O M Anenson seeks to quiet title to Lot 6, Block 10, Original Town of Roland, against Iowa Construction Company and unknown claimants.
