City council approves ordinance and boards appointments
The council approved the amended auto lamp ordinance on third reading. It also accepted eighty four pending bills and awarded a pumping station tool bid to Rocky Ford Hardware and an oil supply contract to Continental Oil. Committee rosters for Streets, Water, Finance, Health, Fire, Sewer, Cemetery, Lights, License, and Law and Order were read and approved.

Record stock train ships from Arkansas valley to Kansas City
The Arkansas valley launches a record breaking livestock train to Kansas City carrying 680 cattle and 6500 sheep in 51 cars. The shipment values at about 81000 dollars with cattle averaging 1400 pounds each. Ranches including Beatty Brothers Manzanola and Col James A Lockhart Rocky Ford supplied stock.

MADE SOME PATRIARCHS Zoar Encampment Busy Night
Zoar Encampment No 8 of Rocky Ford reports a record Patriarch ceremony with a class of fifteen candidates nine from Fowler. Chief Jamison and aides conducted the rite until midnight then guests and lodge members joined a banquet at Arlington Cafe. The night ended with a long homeward march. The second item notes a Billings Gazette clipping about Montana justice marrying Mary E Jenkins with Justice Mendenhall performing the ceremony at his home due to the mayor's absence. The Patch couple, former Rocky Ford residents, had the groom in the sugar factory then a Boulder business, now living near Killings with well wishes for a garden full of flowers.

Edwin Russell Cook of Rocky Ford dies after a six day illness at home on South Eleventh street. Born January 20 1850 near Boston Mass he moved to Rocky Ford in 1901 and led a local business career. Survived by wife children and siblings with Masonic and Eastern Star services. John L Wilson 20 year old son of F M Wilson dies of typhoid fever in Pasco Wash after hospitalization. funeral held at Holiness Mission with local clergy.
