Hungarian partridges arrive for Jackson township game preserve
The first consignment of Hungarian partridges for the Jackson township game preserve arrived last Saturday. Ten birds were sent but one was dead on arrival. R E Roberts released them on Sunday and the birds were placed in wooded lands after dark to emerge at daylight. Special deputy wardens will guard the birds and posts are posted to deter trespassers under game laws.
