Purdue will furnish instructors and stock for a three day session as the county pursues access to the Gorn School. Local officials aim to establish a temporary training program to benefit residents and workforce.

Miss Maud Ethel James and Mr William H Forsythe were wed Wednesday evening at the bride’s mother Mrs Frances James home on Fourth street Grandview in a quiet ceremony attended by close relatives. Rev R Wilbur Fish officiated under a floral arch as daisies ivy and ferns enhanced the parlor setting. The bride wore white marquisette and carried roses while Miss Yates provided music. a three course luncheon followed.

Harry Phipps, a farmer near Lewisport Kentucky, has relocated his family to Rockport.
Stephen Burns age 87 died last Saturday at his daughter's Owensboro Kentucky home. The body was brought here Monday and buried at Phillips cemetery near Rock Hill. He was born and raised in Spencer County and lived recently with his Owensboro daughter. Survived by three sons Oliver P. Burns Will Burns of Rock Hill and James Burns of Kansas City Missouri.
The Baptist Sunday school picnic occurred Tuesday at Hickman’s Park in Owensboro Kentucky. Rev J C Wyatt former Rockport pastor led the program. Hall Street Baptist Owensboro and Rockport groups met on a barge, played ball and enjoyed games with a pleasant joint outing.
Mrs. Ladoska Spradlin died Wednesday at her home west of the city after ten days of bedridden illness from gangrene. A last Sunday operation removed her right foot in a bid to save her life. she was 60. She leaves a daughter Mrs. Frank Zacritz, three sisters, and a brother. Funeral Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Shiloh M E Church with Rev. R R Bryan officiating.
John Small and his wife of Oak Grove faced a poisoning charge in Squire Moseby's Grandview court last Friday. The neighbor’s chickens were the alleged victims in the case. Both defendants were found not guilty.
