Judge Rosco Kiper of Boonville spoke to Blooming ton law students on the majesty of the law and urged lawmakers to enact wholesome legislation. He warned about freak laws and urged future lawyers to improve the quality of state statutes and public trust. The notes include local court actions and no court this week.

Mrs Martha J Hinds died at her home in Silverdale last Monday from tuberculosis. Funeral service conducted by Rev G N Wall was held at the residence Tuesday at 2 pm. She was 67. Surviving is daughter Mrs Libbie Brand and sister Mrs Elizabeth Wells.
Oscar E Brady a 22 year old farmer from Spencer County wed Emma Totten 22 also of Spencer County. John Willmot 37 a veterinary surgeon from Spencer County married Dona D Rasor 30 a school teacher from Rock Port.
Troy Lumber Co. has filed a suit against Andrew J. Maslowsky to enforce a mechanic's lien. Ber Huffman represents the lumber company in the action.

The State Corn Growers association meeting at Lafayette crowned Spencer County growers Mell Swallow and Charles E Schaaf with first prizes in white and mixed corn. W A Barnett of Gibson County won yellow corn, with Grant Johnson of Dale elected a vice president. Mrs Dehlia M Hale died at her home in the city on Thursday at 1 40 AM from pneumonia Funeral services will be from the residence Friday at 2 PM with burial in Sunset Hill cemetery She leaves a husband six daughters Mrs Jake Greathouse Mrs Joe Beeler Mrs Clyde Ludwig Mrs Willie Cowen Mrs Pearl Phillips and Hazel Hales and brother John Ruby of Owensboro Ky She was a Presbyterian member.
Mrs. Minerva Bennett died at St Marys hospital Evansville last Sunday from old age. She was born in Spencer county aged ninety three. Her remains were brought from Evansville Monday and buried at Sunset Hill cemetery. Funeral service was held at 3 oclock from J T Bennetts residence Lincoln street conducted by Rev E H Boldrey. She leaves a son J T Bennett and a daughter living in Chicago.
