Millionaires Expected At Republican National Convention

Chicago dispatch dates June 13 notes that at least sixty three millionaires are expected to attend the Republican national convention. Many could be seven figure or multi millionaires with average wealth around three million, totaling about one hundred eighty nine million for the group. Federal officeholders and millionaires are described as holding significant influence at the convention.

Eclipse of the Sun to Grace Indiana and Ohio Valley

Residents of Southern Indiana and the Ohio Valley may view a near total solar eclipse on Sunday morning June 28 if weather clears. The event starts in Washington at 9 17 and will be visible locally from 10 27 to 1 41 Rockport time. The eclipse path spans from Mexico City to Bermuda with totality in Southern Florida and about 75 percent elsewhere in the continent.

Grandview U B Quarterly Conference at Mt Moriah

The last quarterly conference of the Grandview U B circuit will be held at Mt Moriah on Saturday June 20 and Sunday June 21. The business meeting is set for 2 p m Saturday. Child Hurt In Pony Accident On North 6th Street

Hilda Crooks daughter of Mrs Edna Crooks sustained a broken right forearm after being pulled from a pony by a lead line at the home of Philip Mohr on North 6th street. The ponies were being ridden by children when the incident occurred and the line pulled the girl off as the pony passed under a clothes line.
