Runaway Buggy Horse Injures Driver Near Lincoln Avenue
F Fishback's buggy horse bolted after a log wagon near Wetzel's blacksmith shop on Lincoln avenue last Sunday evening. Fishback was thrown and suffered minor injuries but recovered to continue his trip after the horse was stopped at a bridge on the Silverdale road. The other buggy occupants escaped unharmed.

Remains of John V Hicks Brought for Funeral in Pleasant Valley
The 25 year old John Virgil Hicks died of tuberculosis at his Indianapolis home. His remains were brought to town Tuesday afternoon and taken to his aunt Mrs. Laura Richey’s home. Funeral service and burial occurred Wednesday at Pleasant Valley. He was a Modern Woodmen lodge member and had lived here previously. Accompanied by his mother and nurse Miss Clyde Titus, the remains arrived from Indianapolis.
