Prominent Rockport businessman Fishbeck succumbs to pneumonia after a brief illness. His death leaves a gap in the local business circle where he was a longstanding supporter and leader.
Florentine Fishback died last Sunday at St Marys Evansville after a ten day illness pneumonia caused death. He was 58 years old unmarried left two brothers Louis and William Fishback and a cousin Mrs Mary Kallerhenry. He attended the Democratic convention in Indianapolis and later fell ill and died. His funeral at St Bernard's Catholic Church was followed by burial at Sunset Hill. The sudden vault incident at burial injured James A Hargis and James A Walker.

Rockport High School Alumni held a Tuesday gathering at the college building with ceremonies honoring the class of 1920. Alfred E. Craig of Evansville delivered a memorable address on wealth and knowledge, followed by diplomas from Rev. J. H. Diehl and a music program by the high school chorus and senior girls. The class includes Benjamin Branch and Martha Davis among others. Kinney’s judgment against Southern Bonding Co. for 5252 dollars was affirmed by the state supreme court, obliging the company to cover the shortfall. Rains earlier this week slowed farm work.

Federal detectives and bank officials pursue suspects. a $500 reward is offered.
A social group including Mrs Elizabeth Wells and daughters Miss Morrell and Miss Elizabeth Wells, Miss Eugenia Strassell, Miss Edith Strassell, Mr and Mrs C A Skelton, and Mr and Mrs J H Diehl spent a Sunday at the Strassell residence. A noon feast was served and guests praised the hospitality of Mr and Mrs Strassell and family.
Mrs. Grace Allen who underwent an operation two weeks ago near Evansville is much improved. She is able to be up and is expected to return home this Thursday.
Mrs. C. W. Halbruge suffered a severely sprained ankle after a fall at the Catholic church during the funeral service for Florentine Fishback last Tuesday morning.
