Prominent Evansville Grocery Man Dies After Illness

Florentine Fishback died last Sunday at St Marys Evansville after a ten day illness pneumonia caused death. He was 58 years old unmarried left two brothers Louis and William Fishback and a cousin Mrs Mary Kallerhenry. He attended the Democratic convention in Indianapolis and later fell ill and died. His funeral at St Bernard's Catholic Church was followed by burial at Sunset Hill. The sudden vault incident at burial injured James A Hargis and James A Walker.

The class includes Benjamin Branch and Martha Davis among others. Kinney’s judgment against Southern Bonding Co. for 5252 dollars was affirmed by the state supreme court, obliging the company to cover the shortfall. Rains earlier this week slowed farm work.

Thieves raid Lake State Bank in Richland City

Burglars pried open a rear window at Lake State Bank and used an acetylene torch to breach the vault door. They carried away about twelve thousand dollars in coupon bonds and unregistered thrift stamps plus eighty five dollars in dimes. director table shielded the vault during the break in. Federal detectives and bank officials pursue suspects. a $500 reward is offered.
