Rockport will secure a new strawboard industry within months, creating about fifty local jobs. A plant to supply egg case fillers will relocate here, aided by United Box Board and Paper company arrangements. Two months are needed to move machinery and begin operations as the owner relies on local cooperation.

Clarence Karney, 22, died instantly Saturday afternoon when a timber toppled from a 60 foot tower striking his head after the rope slipped from the pulley. His skull was crushed in the accident.
Mary Elizabeth, months old daughter of Mr and Mrs A R Gentry, died last Monday after a short illness of whooping cough and brain trouble. Funeral services were held at the family residence Tuesday at 3 o'clock with Rev R R Bryan officiating. Interment followed in Rockport cemetery.
Murry Kincaid son of Frank Kincaid fell Wednesday injuring his leg just below the knee. An artery was severed causing heavy bleeding. Several stitches were required to close the wound.
A Democrat reporter critiqued the Sargent bridge over Pigeon Creek built by Warrick and Spencer counties two years ago. Scott W Dexter 28 merchant from Greenville Kentucky weds Lockye Neal 26 of South Carrelton Kentucky. Bert Newman 24 merchant from Grandview weds Etheline Hammond 24 of Grandview in marriage July 28 by Rev E H Boldrey. Jos L Eversman 26 farmer Ferdinand weds Mary A Ebert 22 of Spencer county.
The Kincaid Hargis Company Incorporated Capital stock fixed at 6000 dollars. Frank Kincaid Albert C. Hargis and James A. Hargis form the firm to trade in farming implements vehicles and harness with possible harness manufacture. Directors are the three stockholders. James A. Hargis to move from Cannelton in August.
Local report says an electric line will connect Huntingburg and Ferdinand this fall. Indianapolis visitors secured contract papers. farmers offer free right of way and $50,000 bonds at 5 percent. Six stations planned. line aims to ease farm shipping of produce and eggs.

Ravens seeks divorce from Hettie Ravens, alleging cruel treatment, represented by R. E. Roberts.
John W. Burns recently bought the dwelling adjoining his westward and is relocating it further west on the lot to create a driveway between the two houses.
The E. and K. E. railway workers are removing a small dwelling on 9th Street up to Main Street to repurpose the site as a freight office.
The Kentucky State Guard 3rd Regiment band from Owensboro will play at the Rockport fair this year. The Grandview band is scheduled to perform on Thursday.
