She lived a devout Christian life from childhood, connected with Bloomfield M E church and later with Midway Presbyterian church with her husband and daughter. She married John Pierson on March 28 1889 and had two children Nora and Gerthia, the latter died in childhood, believed carried to heaven by her Savior.
