Luce Township Farmers Institute Draws Big Attendance

The Luce township farmers institute met in Richland on December 5 6 1921 with more than a thousand attending. President Fred A Lang led a constructive program aided by Warren OHara F R Glenn and Cora Belle Ferguson. Edith Strassell highlighted schooling and equipment while Mrs W C Roberts urged a square deal for country youth and five guiding points for a heritage worth inheriting.

Hazen-Deeg Wedding Ties Eureka Couple to Hatfield

Miss Claryce Deeg daughter of Mr and Mrs George Deeg of Eureka and Jack Hazen of Hatfield wed last Saturday evening at Elm Street home of Mr and Mrs Wayne Montgomery in Elm Street. Rev J H Diehl officiated at 6 15 pm in presence of the Montgomery family. Bride wore blue tricotine coat. The Hazens will reside in Hatfield where he owns a restaurant and she teaches school. For winter they will live with his parents Mr and Mrs Smith Hazen.
