Local Woman Dies While Visiting Sister in Richland
Mrs. Mary E. MacClay died suddenly last Friday evening in Richland where she was visiting her sister Mrs. Sam Stateler. She was 48 and is survived by husband Neal McClay and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Mahlen Weir. Funeral services were held Monday at the United Brethren church conducted by Rev. H. L. Todd of Muond City.

American Legion Dances Next Week at Legion Hall

Mrs Anna Haas Abbott Dies at 57 Near Chrisney
Mrs Anna Haas Abbott wife of William C Abbott died at their home near Chrisney last Thursday night at age 57. She is survived by her husband and six children. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church at Midway last Sunday conducted by Rev C C Pirtle of Richland. Mr and Mrs Clarence Balderson left Sunday for a motor trip to Yellowstone Park.

M E C A Meets Postponed Boating Trip And Meeting
Owing to threatening weather the annual M E C A boating trip was postponed and the meeting was held at the time of Mrs Lizzie Gentry. Li Bennet conducted devotions reading the lesson the Sta Cndpter of humans. Committees reported work and the ways and means group planned an ice cream stand at the fair ground next week. A social hour with music and refreshments followed. Out of town guests included Grace Hopkins Chicago Estella Spence Salina Esther Tatum Kenneth and Miss Schoolfield Grand View.
