The candlelight ceremony featured white gladioli and blue carnations with a white slipper satin dress and cascading red rose bouquet. Guests 250 attended a church reception with a four tier cake and varied decorations.

Night blooming cactus opens after thirteen years
A six foot high cactus owned by Mr and Mrs Harry Sanburg of Burlington has bloomed this year after 13 years. Four blossoms measure seven inches across and are white with green centers. Blossoms open at night and close by morning.

Sioux 9 4-H Members Set for Iowa Dairy Heifer Show
Nine 4-H members from Sioux County will compete at the 45th annual Iowa dairy heifer show and achievement program September 23 24 and 25 with 390 head of registered dairy projects and more than 6000 in cash prizes. Sioux County participants include Daniel Boote Terry Mansen Yom Lyon said competition opens with a Saturday morning show and includes state champion dairy club award presentations and production contest results. The dairy judging contest will be held September 23 yielding a team to represent Iowa in national competition in 1967. An additional $90 head entries tallied among 1864 41 dairy numbers for 37 Iowa counties.
