Rock Valley campaign kicks off October 2 with volunteers collecting donations for multiple charities. Spokeswoman Arthur Friedrich notes residents should decide which organizations to support. Last year the drive raised 90876 dollars in Rock Valley. this year aims for 4000 dollars with contributions directed to listed groups such as the Red Cross USO Boy Scouts and others.

Alcohol Program Presented At Rock Valley High
Herman Flekbohm of the Siouxland Council of Alcoholism led an all day session at Rock Valley High for grades 7 through 12 on the pros and cons of alcohol and alcoholism. The program aimed to inform teens about both sides of the story and help them decide, The Decision Is Your. A thot film What Time Is It Now centered on teenage and adult drinking patterns and memory, ending with a question. The Siouxland Council operates an information and referral service with offices at St. Vincent's Hospital and is recognized by the State Commission on Alcoholism to serve several counties. They emphasized there is no cure, but prevention through education.
