Fire Department Responds To Gas Station Fire In Rock Valley
Rock Valley fire crews were dispatched to a natural gas border station on the east edge of town early Wednesday morning after a leak caused by broken components at a metal building housing gas flow meters. The fire, confined to that structure, posed serious risk to the IPS distribution point serving Rock Valley.IPS official John Vande Kerk credited the Rock Valley Fire Department for effective extinguishing efforts and warned of the potential for worse damage if not contained quickly.
