Woman's Club Listens to Local Speaker on Juvenile Justice
The Rock Valley Woman's Club met at Mrs. Clay McKeegan's home to hear Dr. Donald Van Voorst discuss his profession and the goals of the General Federation of Women's Clubs national campaign Justice for Juveniles. Eleven members noted a district convention report and twelve women completed a 120 hour Nurse Aide course sponsored by NIVS, with names of participants listed.

DPI Completes Evaluation of Area Special Education Program
DPI staff from the Division of Special Education completed an evaluation of Pupil Personnel Services and the total special education program for Lyon O'Brien Creeds and four counties. The twelve member team conducted October 3 4 5 visiting eighteen of nineteen districts and met with staff parents administrators and teachers. Preliminary findings praised cooperation and services while urging expansion to better serve handicapped children. final report will be distributed to school administrators and county boards.
