City Buys Van Diel Building for New Fire and Civic Center
The city of Rock Valley purchased the Van Diel building north of the old city hall. Approval of a $125,000 bond is slated to fund demolition and a new complex housing ambulance, rescue truck, two fire engines, water wagon, fire and police stations, voting place, and a meeting room. Architects already evaluated the old fire station as unsuitable.
