Cappella Choir To Perform Northwestern College Home Concert
Northwestern College A Cappella Choir presents a home concert at First Reformed Church in Orange City at 7 30 p m on March 25. The 45 voice choir recently returned from a west coast tour including a national TV appearance on the Hour of Power. The program includes Good News Jesus Christ From the Law Hath Freed Us O Saviour Throw The Heavens Wide and other praise songs. Professor Van Wyk directs the group, with roots in St Olaf and graduate work at South Dakota Denver.

An accident Sunday at 3 10 a m caused no injuries. Ed Van Ginkel s 1966 Chevrolet and John P Loverink s 1970 Chevrolet sustained damage valued at 500 and 1000 dollars respectively. Loverink cited for failure to have control.

A Silent Auction bake sale benefited by Mrs. Les Hansen of Rock Valley, who chaired. Rock Valley members served refreshments.

IPS Aids Breeder Reactor Construction in Iowa
Iowa Public Service Company joins a group of electric firms funding the first large scale demonstration breeder reactor project. Frank Griffith says the venture offers a path to future energy needs as breeder reactors use uranium far more efficiently and could extend uranium supplies for centuries. The plan originated in 1972 with the Atomic Energy Commission backing a joint proposal by Commonwealth Edison and the Tennessee Valley Authority. The pilot plant will be built on a TVA site and should be completed in the 1980s with a projected cost unclear.

Glenn Lange and Ron Pederson of Rock Valley received multiple citations for basketball skill. Lange earned second team on the tournament squad.
