School Board weighs paving lot and aid for Christian school
The board discussed paving the public schools parking lot with concrete options costing 25,500 for 8 inch, 20,535 for 4 inch, or 37,040 for 4 inch top. They favored concrete and will start from the south entrance, bidding only concrete, while using last year’s budget balance for surfacing. The auxiliary aid bill for non-public schools, including Rock Valley Christian, was reviewed with planning due by July 5 and state approval contingent on per pupil costs not exceeding 30. The board also noted fuel storage concerns, final school inspections approaching, and potential band program schedule changes to integrate music into the day.
