Dr. Dennis Van Voorst, UH College of Optometry graduate, will open a Rodle Valley optometry office on August 1 in the City Office Building north of the City Library. Services include vision care, contact lenses, vision therapy, and developmental training for learning problems. Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30-12:00 1:00-4:30 Thu 6:30-9:00. Sat 9:00-12:00. Appointments by calling 476-5225 starting July 30, 1973.

Rock Valley Considers Bonded Safety Complex Vote
The Rock Valley Council will propose a new safety complex at Main and Thirteenth Streets with a projected cost of 143811 dollars funded by federal revenue sharing and not raising property taxes. The 4900 square foot facility would house a modern fire station four apparatuses an ambulance rescue vehicle restrooms meeting rooms and voting areas, with a voter vote expected within two months. An informational pamphlet for local voters is in preparation.

Two Incumbents File For Rock Valley School Board
Nomination papers for two Rock Valley Community School Board seats were filed by incumbents George Van Beek and Warren Anderson. The filing deadline is 5 PM August 2. South rural area west of Highway 18 and town area south of Fifteenth Street are the districts up for election.
