City J Receives 50 Star Replica Flag From Fort McHenry Display
Rock Valley resident Rollin Eggleston presented a 50 star replica flag to City J, flown over Fort McHenry to mark the 158th Battle of Defense anniversary. The 3 by 6 foot flag mirrors a smaller scale of the original 30 by 40 flag, noted for its star orientation. The flag will be shown in City offices pending a larger display. Eggleston, a Navy lieutenant commander and Naval Reserve Center executive, lives in Maryland with his family and is a 1951 Rock Valley High School graduate.
