An entire family flew to Holland to be beside John Ven Ont of Rock Valley after he suffered a serious heart attack in Amen ford Holland. The Van Olst and related families from Rock Valley Rock Rapids Hartley Sioux County Machalitown and other towns joined the journey. By press time reports said Mr Van Olst had a slight setback last Wednesday in August.

At 4:15 p.m. a westbound 1965 Chevrolet driven by Miss Kay Kantma of Rock Valley was struck by a vehicle driven by Fred Younker as he pulled out of Southside Service Station. Younker’s 1866 Plymouth sustained $300 damage. Kantma’s car $97. Younker cited for failing to yield right of way. Police investigated. ambulance reimbursement debated. Rock Valley plans a city ambulances funded by county and federal funds, with service expected by November, needing 9 crew members and 10–20 calls monthly.
