Unusual Accident Claims Fire of a Young Canton Girl
Tragedy strikes a Canton family as eight year old Tamera Tene Hill was killed Sunday when a rock Valley Block and Tile structure toppled onto her and cousin Bonnie Vander Kieft, 15, as they played marbles near cement bunkers. Vander Kieft sustained a broken foot while Hill died about an hour later at Hegg Memorial Hospital.

The Senerment Council met Tuesday morning at the MacMarInn with five members present. An annual Clean-up Day is planned in the near future and residents are urged to participate in cleaning up properties.
