The Rev Raymond Ehrman of Christ Lutheran Church will officiate the funeral at Dongewaard Funeral Home in Hock Rapids. Burial will be in the Alvord Lutheran Cemetery. Mr Andresen, born February 6 1875 in Scott County, married Emma Oldenburg September 4 1901 in Davenport. Survivors include daughter Ella and son Wilbur both of Alvord, brother Otto of Walcott, sister Meta of Cedar Rapids, one grandchild and four great grandchildren.

The Rock Valley Golf Club and owner Blessel J. Reorda along with land tenant Gene Ray reached a deal for a nine hole course site. FHA loan approval is anticipated after July 1 with grading and greens prep to finish by fall so play could begin in 1966. Membership nears 150 with plans to raise by 25 to 30. Harold Roelofs Resigns as Rock Valley Volunteer Fireman
Harold Roelofs who served about 33 years as a Rock Valley volunteer fireman resigned at the regular meeting. Fire chief John C. Dykstra reported the resignation due to Roelofs business obligations. He was made an honorary member and Pier Wynia was named to replace him.

Manning Celebrates 95th Birthday at Valley Manor Event
William P Manning, centenarian in the local care home, was celebrated at Valley Manor with staff and guests on a birthday cake reception. The record notes his long career as an elevator operator in Fairview Maryland starting in 1966 and his family ties, including son Owen Manning.
