Tentative mid May date set for Rock Valley Home Show at the Com Palace next to the New Valley Lanes. John Van Maanen leaves Sunday for Indianapolis for a five day course on natural gas air conditioners. Five families will move from Rock Valley to Spencer around June 1 after Van Voorst Transfer relocates offices to Spencer to gain a central location. Valley Manor Nursing and Convalescent home plans a new wing to relieve crowding with a chapel and private quarters for retiring couples. Dahrmann Architects will stake the site between existing wings, targeting completion around July. Staff currently totals 17 with four to five more part time workers expected.
