Brakes Cause Car Crash in Rock Valley
A brake failure led to a $350 collision Tuesday in Rock Valley when Fritz Kock stopped at a sign and was rear ended by Nancy Landegent as her car brake failed. Kock’s 1989 Ford and Landegent’s 1961 Dodge sustained damage. no injuries reported. The Rock Valley Police investigated.

FFA Banquet Honors Members at Rock Valley Chapter
The Rock Valley Chapter of Future Farmers held its annual Parent-Son Banquet on Tuesday March 28 with opening ceremonies by FEA officers. Rock Valley High Students In State Music Contest
Approximately 100 Rock Valley High School music students compete in the Lews State Solo and Small Group contest this Friday and Saturday at Sibley. The entries include 22 vocal small groups, 20 instrumental small groups, 18 vocal solos, and 3 piano solos, totaling 92 entries for RVHS. The event features 15 high schools and runs from 5:00 PM Friday to about 4:30 PM Saturday.

Mystery Fire at Wisse Farm Sparks Valley Alert
Smoke rose from a cob pile on the Leen Wisse farm south of Rock Valley Easter Sunday. alert children saw a youth run to a car after noticing the smoke and reporting it. Mr Wisse extinguished the blaze as police investigate potential arson. The farm buildings are set back from the scene.
