Choral Society Plans Hallelujah Cantata at Rock Valley Church
The Choral Society of the First Christian Reformed Church of Rock Valley will present Hallelujah, What a Saviour by John Peterson on Sunday April 1 at 9 pm in the church auditorium. Soloists include Mrs Ad Kooima and several others. Directors are Mrs Leonard Van Drunen with accompanist Mrs Herb Dytstea. An offering will support a piano fund. On May 1 choirs from several local churches join for an evening of song and praise for Hope Haven.

Minor Collision In Sheldon Involves Hulsman Driver

Local VFW backs Vietnam era veterans bonus request
Post 8782 Rock Valley VFW announced support for a state law bonus for Vietnam era veterans and for those earning the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal before August 5 1964. The proposal was presented at WFWP 5729 on April 1 1968 and will go to the Department Convention in Fort Dodge Iowa starting June 28 1968. Commander Raymond H Reinke said other wars grants exist and many Vietnam era veterans are being discharged so Iowa should pass the bonus promptly.
